Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN)
Job Summary: As an ICU RN, you will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. You will monitor patients, administer medications, assist with procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess the condition of critically ill patients in the ICU
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with doctors, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform and assist with procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and ventilator management
- Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions and treatment options
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
